Mortgage Loan Officer I (Refinance Loan Officer)

Location: Hybrid role based in Pensacola, Florida, United States; office address: 5510 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $22.55–$28.18 per hour.

What you will do

• Interview and counsel members about first-mortgage, refinance, and equity loan products.
• Take mortgage loan applications and guide members from initial application through closing.
• Evaluate applicant qualifications and recommend personalized financing alternatives.
• Explain mortgage and equity loan processes, requirements, and complex documentation.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with realtors, builders, and other centers of influence.

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting, credit, lending principles, mortgage concepts, and banking industry practices.
• Customer or member service experience, preferably in realty, insurance, retail banking, or a financial institution.
• Exposure to the lending application and approval process.
• Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry is required before assuming employment duties, including fingerprinting and background checks.
• Ability to analyze and communicate complex written legal documents, perform accurate mathematical calculations, and present information professionally.
• Database, presentation, word-processing, spreadsheet, and automated-system skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Navy Federal mortgage production or servicing systems.
• Knowledge of mortgage and equity loan processing, closing, documentation requirements, and regulations.
• Familiarity with VA and conventional mortgage loan programs.
