Loan Officer (VA Loans)

Location: Columbia, MO, United States

Compensation: Base plus commission; over $85,000 in the first year, approximately $200,000+ by year three, over $300,000 by year five, and uncapped earning potential.

What you will do

• Guide Veterans and Service Members through the VA home loan process from initial application through closing.
• Understand borrower goals, review credit, and identify suitable loan solutions using online systems and digital tools.
• Explain loan options, rates, terms, and process expectations clearly to borrowers.
• Manage loan files and pipeline activity while keeping borrowers informed throughout the process.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver a smooth, high-quality loan experience.
• Communicate with borrowers by phone, email, and other tools; calls may be recorded and reviewed using AI-assisted technology for coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Established experience, preferably in direct sales and pipeline management using relevant performance metrics.
• NMLS licensing is required; licensing support is available after starting.
• Clear and confident communication skills with a strong focus on borrower service.
• Ability to manage time and pipelines effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Resilience, adaptability, integrity, and willingness to learn and apply feedback.
• Ability to work collaboratively with borrowers, teammates, and business partners.
