What you will do

• Interview and counsel members on first mortgage and equity loan products, take applications, and guide loans through closing.
• Analyze referred loans, identify credit or documentation concerns, and determine appropriate actions.
• Review applications for completeness and accuracy and coordinate employment, asset, income, liability, appraisal, and other required documentation.
• Maintain communication with members, realtors, sellers, processors, and other stakeholders throughout the loan process.
• Monitor compliance with federal laws, Navy Federal and NCUA requirements, investor guidelines, and secondary market practices.
• Support marketing and promotional activities through financial presentations, local events, realtor events, and trade shows.

Requirements

• Experience in the mortgage lending industry.
• Working knowledge of VA and conventional mortgage lending requirements, regulations, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of mortgage and equity loan processing, closing, documentation requirements, and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with automated systems and advanced word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Advanced ability to understand, analyze, apply, and communicate complex legal documents.
• Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry is required before assuming employment duties, including fingerprinting and background checks.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal Mortgage Production and/or Servicing Systems.
