Engineering Manager I (Manufacturing)

Location: Idaho - Post Falls; the description also specifies Nampa, Idaho. The role requires extensive travel during the first 6–12 months, primarily in multiweek increments to SEL manufacturing facilities in Pullman, Washington, and Lewiston, Idaho.

Salary: $109,900–$164,800 per year, with compensation based on experience, training, knowledge, and skills.

What you will do

• Launch process control and reliability operations for a new greenfield manufacturing facility.
• Build, lead, and develop a team responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment performance.
• Establish preventive maintenance practices and systems that improve equipment safety, predictability, and availability.
• Partner with Manufacturing Operations and other SEL facilities to respond to equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Lead discipline, technology, and process initiatives while managing cost, schedule, performance objectives, portfolio planning, and long-term strategy.
• Present at external meetings and large internal forums while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of related engineering or management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines or technologies.
• Experience designing, producing, or supporting successful products or processes and solving complex technical problems.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, teamwork, employee development, and project leadership skills.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results required.
