Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Location: Onsite in Aurora, Illinois, United States; supports 24/5 and weekend operations, with up to 5% travel and nonstandard work hours as needed.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering organization for the Pads product line and develop its multi-year strategic roadmap.
• Align technology, capacity, capital investments, and operational plans with business growth objectives.
• Manage capital projects, including budgeting, prioritization, ROI justification, and cross-functional execution.
• Drive improvements in OEE, throughput, quality, cost, capacity, EH&S, and operational excellence.
• Lead root-cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions, customer communications, SPC reviews, NPI commercialization, and audit support.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching, succession planning, and performance-based management while evaluating AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics for process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Polymer, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including significant manufacturing or semiconductor/polymer processing experience.
• 5+ years in management or senior leadership, including multi-phase projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with strategic planning, capital project leadership, budget ownership, statistics, SPC/SQC, process control, 8D methodology, and Six Sigma at Green Belt level or higher.
• Strong communication, leadership, data analysis, and organizational development skills; proficiency with MS Office and statistical analysis software such as JMP.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP), SAP, LIMS, CNC recipes, COBOTS, and robotic automation.
• Experience with multi-year engineering roadmaps, talent development, succession planning, AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in manufacturing.
• PMP certification and/or Six Sigma Black Belt.
