Manufacturing & Reliability Engineer (Food Ingredients)

Location: Onsite in Newark, Delaware, USA

Salary: $85,000–$90,000 base salary per year, depending on experience and other hiring considerations.

hirify.global develops flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health and biosciences solutions, with this role supporting the Food Ingredients business.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing technology, process technology, and product technology initiatives across the Newark facility.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements that increase operational performance and asset utilization.
• Partner with Operations to optimize manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement.
• Review maintenance work requests and develop maintenance and reliability programs that improve equipment performance and uptime.
• Lead or support reliability projects through data analysis, problem-solving, and root cause investigations.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing processes and equipment, and collaborate with Quality and Operations on process capability and product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Experience collaborating within diverse, global, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• 1 to 3+ years of experience in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S workplace organization.
