Network Engineer III

Location: Southern Pines, North Carolina, United States; work may be performed in an office or hybrid environment, with occasional travel and after-hours on-call duties.

What you will do

• Design, implement, expand, and maintain secure network architectures.
• Lead network infrastructure implementation projects and drive engineering best practices.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
• Administer identity management, Active Directory, hyper-converged infrastructure, and virtualization technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and support collaborative engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of related experience, or 8+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network implementation, identity management, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux.
• Experience deploying solutions with Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
• Experience with cybersecurity monitoring and diagnostic tools, CMMC control implementation, and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• IAT Level III certification such as CISSP, CASP, or GCIH.
• Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications.
• Experience with zero trust networking, MPLS WAN, SD-WAN, Docker, scripting, and DevSecOps.
