Business Analyst (Aerospace & Manufacturing)

Location: The Woodlands, Texas, United States; onsite role with up to 25% travel to interact with customers

What you will do

• Analyze product-line KPIs including orders, sales, backlog, pricing, market share, attrition, and profitability.
• Translate data into actionable insights and communicate findings through charts, tables, presentations, and other visualizations.
• Support strategic plans, operational plans, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and pricing strategies.
• Develop market-trend and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities.
• Improve and maintain product configuration databases, and review business models and inventory health.
• Develop analytics for discussions with customers, sales and marketing teams, management, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with data analytics in an applicable industry, ideally refining, chemical, or industrial applications.
• Knowledge of basic design and manufacturing principles, bills of material, marketing and sales practices, product applications, and customer service.
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R, and Python, plus advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong written and spoken English is required for preparing reports and presenting complex ideas to customers and management.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• MBA, MS in Business Analysis, MS in Data Science, or equivalent experience.
