Manufacturing Technician II (MedTech Robotics): Building and testing electromechanical modules for the OTTAVA surgical robotic platform with an accent on precision assembly, regulatory compliance, and production quality. Location: Onsite in Milpitas, California, United States; initial training at the Santa Clara site. Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with occasional weekends and overtime as needed.

What you will do
- Perform intermediate electromechanical assembly of robotic joints, control modules, cable harnesses, and other product components.
- Build, verify, and validate modules using engineering documentation, work instructions, calibrated tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
- Conduct functional, electrical, and mechanical testing and troubleshoot basic wiring, alignment, sensor, and other production issues.
- Document production activities, test results, inspections, material transactions, and work-in-process data in MES, ERP/SAP, and electronic DHR systems.
- Support line setup, fixture validation, new product introduction builds, continuous improvement, material readiness, and production scheduling.
- Guide new technicians and maintain proficiency on at least three designated modules.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience in medical devices, electromechanical systems, capital equipment, calibration and validation, or a related regulated industry.
- Hands-on experience with Good Documentation Practices and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with torque wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, multimeters, presses, and similar assembly tools.
- Ability to interpret assembly procedures, technical documentation, and engineering instructions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekend shifts.
- Onsite availability in Milpitas, California, with initial training in Santa Clara is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kanban operations, MES, SAP, ComplianceWire, or software-based test procedures.
- Exposure to robotics or surgical device assembly and troubleshooting.
- Experience with calibration and validation of electromechanical or robotic systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting, including multimeter use, grounding, and isolation.
