Manufacturing Technician II (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite cleanroom work

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electromechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
• Perform electromechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Use schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, work orders, test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps.
• Receive and audit parts, inspect them for defects, and troubleshoot or improve production processes.
• Complete job documentation, data entry, repairs, programming, and software installations as required.
• Work in a physically demanding cleanroom environment using hand and power tools, PPE, ladders, and material-handling equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor, display, comparable industry, or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, distinguish colors, work around noise, and operate heavy machinery including forklifts.
• Onsite work in Austin, TX is required; the position is not relocation eligible.

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certifications, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET education, including DeVry or TSTC training.
