Technical Program Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in Pico Rivera, California, United States; extended periods at a desk or in project labs, with occasional prototype testing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate multiple concurrent product development programs from concept through launch using phase-gate or stage-gate methodologies.
• Maintain master timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverable ownership, and launch-risk tracking across engineering, product management, art, quality, regulatory, operations, and business units.
• Document product development processes, create SOPs and compliance documentation, and define RACIs for cross-functional workflows.
• Administer Asana by building templates, custom fields, rules, forms, portfolios, and reporting workflows; train teams and improve processes as programs grow.
• Build dashboards, recurring reports, and exception-based alerts using Asana and other data tools to identify bottlenecks and delivery risks.
• Coordinate with overseas factories and suppliers, facilitate standups, design reviews, and retrospectives, and track technical, safety, and regulatory deliverables through closure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of technical program or project management experience, preferably with overseas manufacturing or partner teams.
• Experience launching hardware products on time with Asian manufacturing partners.
• Hands-on Asana administration experience, including custom fields, rules, forms, and portfolio-level reporting.
• Experience with AI-enabled project-management tools such as Claude or Asana AI, plus Power BI or Excel for reporting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, process-documentation, RACI, and process-improvement skills; PMP certification is preferred or may be in progress.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira or Monday.com.
• Knowledge of Critical Path, Critical Chain, Value Stream Mapping, or operational excellence methods.
• Familiarity with LED lighting specifications, schematics, or hardware testing.
