TL;DR
Adult Career Advisor (Workforce Development): Advising job seekers on career planning, training needs, job search strategies, and barriers to employment with an accent on case management, customer support, and workforce program coordination. Focus on facilitating job-readiness workshops, maintaining accurate participant records, and connecting customers with employment resources across Clark County.
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; onsite within the Clark County Library District, Job Connect, and/or designated EmployNV workforce development hubs. Travel within Clark County may be required.
Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do
- Counsel job seekers on career planning, job search strategies, training opportunities, and barriers to employment.
- Manage customer relationships, monitor program participation, provide motivational support, and document case notes.
- Assess resumes and required documentation while maintaining accurate records and correspondence.
- Facilitate job-readiness and job-search workshops and support customer re-engagement after training.
- Identify community resources, referral services, and appropriate interventions for customers.
- Create career advisement procedures, support team training, and assist with daily operations and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or a related field with two or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience providing career counseling in a high-volume human services or workforce development environment.
- Strong communication, organization, customer service, computer, word-processing, and spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to motivate and support individuals facing barriers to employment and to present workshops.
- Ability to work first shift and overtime when required.
- Ability to work onsite and travel within Clark County when necessary.
