Sample Login Technician

Location: Lanham, Maryland, United States; onsite work in the Lanham laboratory

Salary: $18.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime pay

What you will do

• Receive, organize, log, label, and prepare laboratory samples according to established protocols and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Enter sample data and maintain laboratory information systems, records, documentation, and test-related information accurately.
• Interact with clients and laboratory personnel in person and by phone, resolving issues and supporting customer service.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and functionality checks.
• Conduct routine quality control checks and report discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and procedural concerns.
• Support inventory management, laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient team workflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service, communication, typing, data entry, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word, as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to follow complex instructions independently.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively in a diverse team.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems, laboratory equipment, safety protocols, sample handling, and regulatory standards is preferred.
