Buyer II (Aerospace): Managing procurement lifecycle, supplier performance, sourcing, negotiations, and contracting for human-rated space station systems with an accent on aerospace supply chains, supplier improvement, and should-cost analysis. Focus on coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, mitigating schedule and delivery risks, and supporting supplier visits and critical mission milestones.
Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Travel to supplier sites up to 20% and occasional evening or weekend work may be required for critical mission milestones.
Salary: $88,810–$152,940 USD per year.

What you will do
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle for assigned commodities and categories, from demand identification through fulfillment.
- Manage the supplier base against business KPIs and drive supplier improvement initiatives.
- Lead source selection, RFQ/RFP cycles, negotiations, contracting strategies, and purchase order placement.
- Review contracts and terms and conditions and develop defensible should-cost models.
- Collaborate with Legal, Contracts, Finance, Planning, Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Quality to manage supplier performance.
- Communicate commodity strategies, risks, and business priorities related to schedule, cost, and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience supporting supplier selection, RFQ/RFP cycles, negotiations, and purchase order placement.
- Experience or exposure to manufacturing and aerospace supply chains is strongly preferred.
- Ability to make independent judgments with limited information, balance multiple priorities, and work effectively in a high-stress environment.
- Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.
Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in aerospace, spaceflight, or highly regulated manufacturing environments involving complex systems.
