Sourcing Specialist II - Wire Harness (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States. The role requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Base pay: $72,000–$90,000 USD annually for California.

What you will do

• Source wire harness materials by evaluating supplier capability, pricing, delivery requirements, and performance.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time material delivery.
• Run RFQ processes, secure competitive bids, and negotiate supplier terms.
• Coordinate procurement requirements with Engineering and provide R&D order status updates.
• Update material planners on purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
• Maintain accurate purchase order data in the ERP system.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of total work experience.
• Experience sourcing suppliers, onboarding vendors, and negotiating pricing.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• For U.S. office employment, candidates must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with MRP systems.
• Background in aerospace, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapid-growth environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and U.S. export controls.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
