Staff Engineer - Advanced Development (Power Conversion)

Location: Hybrid, three days on site at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $98,900–$125,600 per year.

What you will do

• Develop predictive maintenance and optimization algorithms for power conversion and generation systems.
• Design feedback and model predictive control systems for performance and robustness.
• Develop engine, alternator, transformer, and alternative energy source models for system simulations.
• Build controls in MATLAB and Simulink and deploy automatically generated C++ code.
• Validate algorithms in simulated environments and on hardware, then integrate designs into existing codebases.
• Develop internal PC-based engineering tools and apply best practices for software development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, depending on educational background.
• At least 3 years of experience with systems or electronics simulations.
• Working knowledge of electrical machines, power electronics, or engines.
• Strong technical experience with MATLAB, Simulink, C++, and C#.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing voltage and current regulation control systems.
• Experience with Simulink Embedded Coder.
• Master’s degree or experience with object-oriented MATLAB programming.
