Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer/Scientist

Location: Nationwide remote within the United States; Reston, Virginia, United States of America

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 per year

What you will do

• Provide project management and technical support for EPA projects covering Superfund, Brownfields, and resource conservation and recovery programs.
• Apply site characterization and remediation expertise to improve cleanup outcomes at contaminated and Superfund sites.
• Lead technology transfer and training on innovative remediation technologies, approaches, strategies, and best practices.
• Develop conceptual site models, site strategies, optimization recommendations, systematic project plans, and cost estimates.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and engage with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience with site characterization and remediation of Superfund, Brownfields, and other contaminated sites.
• Experience with mining-site remediation and mining-influenced water.
• Knowledge of EPA Superfund cleanup programs and policies.
• Experience with environmental characterization, cleanup, infrastructure cost estimation, and renewable energy project development and decommissioning.
• Strong project management, client engagement, written communication, and oral communication skills.
