Senior Field Applications Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Manassas, Virginia, United States; hybrid field-based work with primarily remote work and travel to customer sites

Salary: USD 80,000–120,000 yearly base compensation; total on-target compensation of USD 100,000–150,000

What you will do

• Own first-of-a-kind product installations from site preparation and scoping through qualification and customer sign-off.
• Manage customer demonstration programs, including success criteria, schedules, resources, installations, DOE execution, data analysis, and results delivery.
• Design and lead design-of-experiment activities with customers and R&D teams.
• Manage complex multi-site installation and qualification projects, including customer communications and cross-site standardization.
• Present technical findings to customer engineering teams and section managers.
• Mentor Field Applications Engineers and identify customer pain points and application opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• 4–7 years of field applications or systems engineering experience in the semiconductor or instrumentation industry.
• Experience owning complex technical projects through customer sign-off.
• Strong data analysis and technical presentation skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% domestically, with occasional international travel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cleanroom environments.

Nice to have

• Expertise in an hirify.global product line such as RGA, LD, FabGuard, VCP, or IMS.
• Experience with semiconductor process applications including etch, deposition, EUV, advanced packaging, or PVD/CVD.
• Experience designing and executing DOEs in a production fab environment.
• Cross-regional or multi-site customer experience across US, APAC, or EMEA sites.
