Staff Engineer (Developer Productivity)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas; Buffalo, New York; Nashville, Tennessee; San Francisco, California; or Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $164,000–$236,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Define team and platform direction for developer productivity.
• Build automated bootstrapping, development, testing, and delivery pipelines.
• Develop self-service engineering tools and improve local development workflows.
• Build self-healing infrastructure and improve system performance and reliability.
• Drive adoption through demos, Brown Bag sessions, and collaboration across engineering teams.
• Coach and mentor engineers and contribute to technical designs.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of engineering experience and a B.S. degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience building CI/CD infrastructure and improving SDLC release processes.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby on Rails, Python, or similar languages.
• Working knowledge of AWS and infrastructure as code or configuration management with Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized systems, reproducible builds, Git flow, versioning, and large-scale distributed release management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement at one of the listed United States locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Gerrit and Android OS build systems.
• Experience with embedded systems builds and compiles.
