Senior Platform Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Own the AWS platform foundation across ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, SQS, Step Functions, ALB, and account architecture.
• Separate production, staging, and development accounts and lead the Aurora database production migration.
• Manage Terraform infrastructure as code and strengthen IAM, S3 security, AWS Config, Security Hub, and SOC 2 Type 2 readiness.
• Improve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, deployment velocity, PR stack environments, and Docker Compose-based local development.
• Build CloudWatch observability, lead post-incident reviews, and maintain runbooks and reliability practices.
• Partner with product teams to distribute platform work through regular sprint allocations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Deep AWS expertise with ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, Lambda, and account architecture.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code proficiency.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and managing deployment environments.
• Security-focused approach to access controls, least privilege, and system hardening.
• Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog.
