Sr. Mechatronics Engineer (DSP)

Salary: $141,300–$207,233 annually

What you will do

• Design real-time digital signal processor architectures for general motion-control systems.
• Develop advanced multi-axis motion control and tune servo loops for nanometer-scale motion stages.
• Develop Python and MATLAB scripts to accelerate tuning and identify improved control algorithms.
• Define firmware requirements, architectures, verification plans, test cases, and design documentation.
• Partner with software and mechanical engineering teams on stage subsystems and integrate complex electrical components.
• Support product transition into manufacturing and field service for high-precision hirify.global inspection machines.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 3 years of related experience, master's degree with 6 years, or bachelor's degree with 8 years.
• At least 5 years of firmware development experience with C/C++ in a real-time operating system environment.
• Strong background in linear, nonlinear, digital, robust, and adaptive control theory.
• Experience with firmware programming, software architecture, servo-loop tuning, and nanoscale stage motion.
• Experience designing and integrating complex electrical components and subsystems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
