Hardware Team Leader (EPLAN)

Location: Aarhus, Denmark; business travel of 10–20 days per year

What you will do

• Provide technical and people leadership for up to four Hardware Engineers and Specialists.
• Design and document electrical systems for processing equipment, including cabinets, motor controls, instrumentation, power distribution, and machine interfaces.
• Lead electrical architecture, design reviews, technical decisions, and continuous improvement across the product portfolio.
• Ensure functional safety, machine safety, EMC, UL508A, CE, and Machinery Regulation compliance.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineering, Automation Software Engineering, Manufacturing, and external panel-building suppliers.
• Mentor team members and support resource planning, competence development, and supplier governance.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial electrical design and machine automation.
• Strong experience with industrial machinery and control-panel design, EPLAN Electric P8, and electrical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of UL508A, North American electrical requirements, IEC machinery and automation standards, CE compliance, EMC, risk assessments, and functional safety.
• Experience with motor control systems, drives, instrumentation, industrial power distribution, and safety-related control systems.
• Fluent English is required; Danish is considered an advantage.
