Field Applications Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; up to 10% travel for training and cross-site support.

Salary: $32–$44 per hour.

What you will do

• Support customer transitions to new technology nodes and the ramp-up of specific semiconductor technologies.
• Own project workstreams, develop project plans, and drive execution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Translate customer on-product issues into lithography or metrology problem statements and resolve technical escalations.
• Analyze customer experimental data and communicate conclusions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prepare technical presentations, support new users, assist sales, and identify applications opportunities.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global metrology portfolio to maximize product and option performance for customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience, or a master’s degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in engineering, applications, manufacturing, semiconductor, or a related technical field.
• Exposure to semiconductors, high-tech manufacturing, coursework, internships, research, or related professional experience.
• Experience with data analysis, problem solving, technical communication, and customer-facing presentations.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, JMP, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
• Must be legally authorized to access technology controlled under United States export regulations before starting the role.
