Senior Specialist, Warehousing (Renewable Energy)

Salary: $81,000–$96,900 per year, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Execute warehousing strategies for utility-scale renewable energy equipment, including capacity planning, geographic coverage, facility evaluation, cost visibility, and contingency planning.
• Coordinate sourcing, contracting, mobilization, and administration of third-party warehouses and logistics providers.
• Evaluate warehouse readiness for receiving, storing, preserving, inspecting, and releasing oversized and high-value equipment such as PV modules, transformers, inverters, and battery energy storage systems.
• Manage inbound deliveries, inspections, discrepancy documentation, inventory reporting, outbound releases, and chain-of-custody records.
• Monitor provider performance, invoices, claims, insurance requirements, corrective actions, safety, service levels, and contract compliance.
• Partner with Procurement, Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Risk, Insurance, and equipment suppliers to resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• At least three years of progressive experience in warehousing, third-party logistics, logistics procurement, contract management, project logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Direct experience managing third-party warehouses for high-value, oversized, heavy, or technically sensitive equipment.
• Experience with commercial agreements, service providers, pricing, performance, invoices, claims, corrective actions, and contract compliance.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory controls, receiving and shipping documentation, chain of custody, physical counts, reconciliation, and ERP inventory logic.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is beneficial but not required, with role-specific training provided.
• Ability to travel to warehouse, supplier, port, and project locations as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, power generation, transmission, EPC construction, or heavy industrial logistics.
• Knowledge of PV module packaging, transformer preservation, crane and rigging coordination, and heavy-haul facility requirements.
• Experience with warehouse audits, inventory counts, insurance reviews, tax-sensitive storage decisions, or financial and regulatory diligence.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP platforms, Power BI, Tableau, transportation-management systems, warehouse-management systems, or logistics visibility tools.
• Degree or professional certification in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, construction management, business, or a related field.
