Sr. Inventory Optimization Specialist

Location: Hybrid in North Andover, Massachusetts, United States; office attendance required Monday–Wednesday and remote work available Thursday–Friday.

Salary: $93,000–$106,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop and refine inventory and service dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for supply chain visibility.
• Analyze inventory performance across distribution centers, agents, and field locations to identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead inventory rebalancing, stocking-location, and network optimization initiatives to improve product availability and reduce excess inventory and logistics costs.
• Monitor supply, demand, inventory, backlog, allocation exceptions, projected stockouts, fill-rate gaps, and constrained supply situations.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions for shortages, excess inventory, service risks, and customer disruptions.
• Partner with planning, manufacturing, distribution, sourcing, sales, finance, and product teams to balance customer priorities with available supply and network capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of supply chain management experience using relevant inventory management tools.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain process integration; SAP experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office, plus strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work in the office in North Andover three days per week.

Nice to have

• APICS or another related certification.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
