Program Manager - Defense

Location: Irving, Texas, United States. Domestic travel up to 20%. U.S. citizenship is required; dual citizenship is not permitted. Domestic relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: $147,760–$221,640 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the execution and overall performance of complex defense programs supporting the U.S. Navy.
• Serve as the primary interface with Navy customers, internal teams, and program stakeholders.
• Organize and coordinate processes and procedures across project teams.
• Translate corporate objectives into program objectives and operating practices.
• Plan and monitor program development to meet quality standards, deadlines, and contractual requirements.
• Manage program resources, financial performance, risks, acceptance, and delivery across related projects.

Requirements

• Experience supporting U.S. Navy acquisition programs, including shipbuilding, sustainment, modernization, or related defense programs.
• Experience with major U.S. Navy acquisition programs and knowledge of Portfolio Acquisition Executive organizations.
• Knowledge of program management policies and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling related projects.
• Ability to influence decisions and lead cross-functional teams across organizational divisions.
• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• U.S. citizenship required; applicants must not hold dual citizenship.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the Undersea or Direct Reporting Portfolio Manager for Submarines.
• Prior service as a U.S. Navy Engineering Duty Officer with Level III qualification in Program Management.
• Membership in the Defense Acquisition Corps Acquisition Professional Community.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with submarine procurement, maintenance, modernization, sustainment, or policy initiatives.
