Senior Actuarial Analyst - Medicare

Location: Fully remote within the Continental U.S.; Remote-IL

Salary: $70,100–$126,200 per year

What you will do

• Analyze Medicare fee-for-service claims, savings initiatives, and provider risk-sharing arrangements using actuarial, statistical, financial, and business principles.
• Develop and maintain quarterly forecasts for medical costs, savings initiatives, and provider risk-sharing arrangements.
• Identify trends, assumptions, gaps, and forecast variances through data reports and analysis.
• Prepare financial and analytical exhibits and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with internal business partners on forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Actuarial experience and progress toward an actuarial credential, meeting the Rule of 5 through the combined total of actuarial experience years and passed actuarial exams.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage forecasting, financial performance, Medicare FFS medical costs, savings initiatives, or provider risk-sharing arrangements is highly preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and data analytics experience.
• Basic query and SQL knowledge.
• Must be able to work remotely within the Continental U.S.
