Senior Actuarial Analyst (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote, based in Illinois/Chicago

Salary: $61,500–$136,100 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus

What you will do

• Implement and maintain actuarial models, studies, and systems.
• Perform detailed analysis for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and other actuarial functions.
• Run and develop complex models and analyze their results.
• Prepare written and oral presentations to support business decision-making.
• Prepare documentation and participate in training and development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or another approved discipline.
• Completion of three ASA exam equivalents under the Society of Actuaries’ Education and Examination System.
• At least two years of actuarial experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming skills.
• Experience with Alteryx.
• Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with tiered network analysis, UDS discounts, and claims repricing.
• Actuarial experience in health insurance or a related field.
