Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role requiring three days per week in a U.S. hub location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; or Denver, Colorado. Occasional travel under 10% may be required. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications and services.
• Develop and support integrations, APIs, service-oriented solutions, and distributed application architectures.
• Participate in technical analysis, solution design, architecture discussions, and design reviews.
• Evaluate solutions for business fit, scalability, security, performance, and cost.
• Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, vendors, contract and offshore engineers, and business stakeholders while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of software application development experience and two years of database design, development, and data modeling experience.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, object-oriented design, application architecture, APIs, enterprise integrations, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with cloud technologies, modern development platforms, source control, automated testing, deployment automation, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with application modernization, cloud migration, or platform transformation.
• Experience with enterprise authentication and authorization for large-scale customer-facing applications.
• Experience using AI-assisted software engineering tools.
• AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Java, or equivalent technology certifications.
• Experience in insurance, retirement, wealth management, financial services, or another regulated industry.
