Senior Software Engineer - Decisioning (Fintech)

Location: Remote

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year, plus corporate bonus eligibility, stock options, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and architect maintainable, scalable software systems for automated underwriting and dealership financing.
• Build high-impact backend features with Python and Django.
• Own stack reliability through sophisticated automated testing.
• Lead code reviews, resolve complex technical bottlenecks, and support technical alignment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features.
• Mentor engineers and use AI-assisted development to accelerate the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience; a degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Deep proficiency in Python, Java, Node, or another modern programming language.
• Experience designing, building, and delivering scalable technical solutions end to end.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure automation using Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
• Advanced SQL and extensive relational database experience, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience deploying application containers with Docker and Kubernetes, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.
