Process Engineer 2027 Summer Intern (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite work in a semiconductor process laboratory and clean room environment

Salary: $21.69–$29.01 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and modify processes and methods for semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation.
• Work with group engineers to define criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations.
• Compile, analyze, and present experimental and test data to determine process and material specifications.
• Interpret physical and chemical behavior during process characterization.
• Create and revise standard operating procedures and document tasks for future reference.
• Complete a meaningful internship project and prepare a final project report.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in nanoscience, engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
• Fluent English required.
• Experience with statistical design and analysis of experiments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor processing techniques.
• Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift or carry objects up to 35 pounds.
