New College Grad - Process Engineer III - PhD (2027 Summer Cohort) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States. Relocation eligible; travel required 10% of the time.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for semiconductor and display technologies.
• Collect, analyze, and report data from process engineering experiments.
• Characterize hardware, measure film properties, and organize technical results.
• Troubleshoot process issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support resolutions.
• Prepare product documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
• Engage with customers, vendors, suppliers, and R&D teams while supporting new technologies, products, and analytical instrumentation.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with one or more semiconductor processes, including CVD, ALD, PVD, etch, or epi.
• Experience with material characterization techniques such as FTIR, XPS, or XRD.
• Availability to start full time and participate in the Semiconductor Product Group New College Graduate training cohort in July 2027.
