Process Engineer Intern (Chemical Engineering)

Location: Onsite at the Minneapolis plant, United States. The internship starts in May 2026 and lasts more than 10 weeks.

Salary: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design and conduct controlled experiments on extrusion lines to evaluate process variables.
• Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Study technical properties and quality issues of resin-based extrusion lines through plant and production operations.
• Collaborate with Process Technicians and Engineers to document findings and recommend operating-condition changes.
• Present results and recommendations to the department at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Chemistry or Engineering degree program.
• At least one completed year of coursework; two completed years are preferred.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Ability to analyze information, synthesize and communicate findings, and collaborate in a team setting.
• High initiative, drive, and interest in continuous learning and improvement.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA in the relevant academic field.
• Two completed years of coursework.
