Senior Branch Manager (Banking)

Salary: $74,600–$124,400 USD per year

What you will do

• Manage branch activities, profitability, annual sales goals, operations, transactions, servicing, and digital engagement.
• Lead, coach, recruit, and develop branch employees while managing performance, staffing, promotions, and related personnel decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs, grow Business Banking relationships, and build the bank’s presence in the local community.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues, taking ownership through completion.
• Maintain operational, security, compliance, fraud-prevention, audit, and internal-control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or proven leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, client relationship management, and profitability.
• Ability to use common PC and Microsoft Office software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing may be required within 18 months; training is provided within six months.
• M&T Business Banking Specialist certification is required within 18 months of hire, along with M&T Way and Precision Leadership certifications.
