Field Service Technician (Electromechanical)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States; field-based with daily travel to customer sites

Salary: $22.68–$35.65 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive plan

What you will do

• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on hirify.global card printer and credential issuance equipment.
• Test, diagnose, calibrate, repair, and replace mechanical, electronic, sensor, motor, belt, bearing, and other system components.
• Use service manuals, laptops, voltmeters, hand tools, and test equipment to troubleshoot systems.
• Respond to dispatched service calls, maintain accurate inventory in the ERP platform, and complete service activity reports.
• Travel to customer sites daily, interact with operations staff, and resolve most customer issues independently.
• Complete required training, support less experienced personnel, and contribute to process and quality improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of electromechanical technician experience.
• Proficient problem-solving, troubleshooting, PC, operating system, and software skills.
• Valid active driver’s license and insurability where applicable.
• Ability and willingness to drive to several customer sites daily, work flexible hours, travel when required, and take on temporary short-term assignments in other locations.
• Willingness to be on-call, work required overtime, and lift up to 70 lbs.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent verifiable training.
• Additional electromechanical or field service experience.
• Experience with hirify.global central issuance equipment.
• Advanced technical education and experience with digital electronics, electro-mechanics, software, tools, and electronic test equipment.
