TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (Radar Systems) (MATLAB/Digital Signal Processing): Supporting radar, imaging, and electronic warfare systems through electrical analysis, design, capability enhancements, testing, and in-service engineering with an accent on circuit card troubleshooting, antenna performance, and sensor data analysis. Focus on developing test plans, assessing equipment layouts, troubleshooting systems at Naval bases, and preparing technical assessments for integrated engineering teams.

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island; must be local to the work location, with occasional telework available.

Salary: $55,998.60–$97,370.70 per year

What you will do

  • Support the In-Service Engineering Agency and Naval Undersea Warfare Center Code 34.
  • Analyze, design, test, and enhance Radar, Imaging, and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuit card assemblies, radar systems, and antenna equipment.
  • Develop and review electrical drawings, schematics, test plans, and test procedures.
  • Assess equipment layouts and system requirements, and perform MATLAB data analysis on sensor models and measurements.
  • Prepare technical assessments, risk assessments, recommendations, and Technical Data Packages; travel to naval bases approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Entry-level to mid-level experience; 0–2 years specified for the role.
  • Experience conducting data analysis in MATLAB using theoretical sensor models, synthetic datasets, and live measurements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; an active clearance is preferred.
  • Ability to work locally in Middletown, Rhode Island and travel approximately 10% of the time.

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of professional experience in radar systems engineering, design, analysis, or testing.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with Linux frameworks, modern messaging protocols, network architecture, and virtual computing.
