Salary: $98,000–$118,000 annually, paid bi-weekly, less applicable withholdings and deductions.

What you will do

  • Lead complex power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, transient and small-signal stability, electromagnetic transient, reliability, and system impact assessments.
  • Manage end-to-end interconnection processes for large generator projects with internal teams, clients, utilities, and subcontractors.
  • Develop electrical design packages, technical drawings, models, and comprehensive technical reports.
  • Oversee interconnection applications and ensure accurate, timely documentation compliant with ISO/RTO and utility standards.
  • Act as the technical lead for interconnection challenges and perform QA/QC on internal and third-party deliverables.
  • Improve internal processes, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency while supporting the Nuclear Operating System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering; a power systems focus is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in power system planning, interconnection, or generator integration in energy or utility environments.
  • Proficiency with tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, ETAP, PSCAD, PowerWorld, Aspen One-Liner, or TARA.
  • Knowledge of ISO/RTO, NERC, FERC, and regional interconnection processes; experience with ERCOT, MISO, PJM, or SPP is valued.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience conducting QA/QC on technical deliverables.
