Mechanical Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Must be based in El Segundo, CA (100% onsite)

Compensation: $105,000 – $130,000 + Equity

hirify.global is a startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors designed to provide critical power for remote sites, hospitals, and data centers.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of microreactor systems.
• Take ownership of deliverables from initial concept through build and validation.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to integrate designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Support system-level testing, troubleshooting, and design iteration.
• Communicate results through design reviews, technical reports, and presentations.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Strong foundation in engineering first principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, statics, dynamics, strength of materials).
• Hands-on experience in design and build through projects, research, or internships.
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as CAD and lab instrumentation.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.
