Production Engineering Manager (Industrial Automation)

Location: Rome, Italy; onsite

Salary: Minimum annual salary of €53,000; variable pay includes a 10% AIP target and eligibility for a company productivity bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of Production Engineering Specialists through coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement.
• Manage the Internal Process Management stream, including technology improvement initiatives, investment prioritization, OEE and efficiency KPI monitoring, and ROI tracking.
• Lead Special Process Development for Protection and Energy Management production processes.
• Develop and implement automated and semi-automated production solutions, advanced equipment, and robotics applications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prepare technical specifications, manage budgets, and strengthen production-line capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in process engineering, production management, or manufacturing and quality optimization in industrial or electromechanical sectors.
• Experience with process design tools, manufacturing simulation software, PLM, ERP systems, and IoT monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, automation technologies, Industry 5.0, continuous improvement, and Physical AI opportunities.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering innovation and process-improvement projects within budget and timelines.
• Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken, are required.
