Senior Automation Software Engineer (Siemens)

Salary: €48,000 gross per year minimum

What you will do

• Program PLC software from scratch and maintain and update existing PLC and HMI applications.
• Develop solutions primarily on Siemens platforms, including TIA Portal, WinCC, and Step 7.
• Improve software and hardware solutions in cooperation with R&D and Service departments.
• Review technical specifications and request-for-quotation documentation for accuracy, standards compliance, and alignment with client requirements.
• Configure managed switches, routers, DMZ routers, and firewalls.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing and commission PLC systems on site and remotely.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Siemens PLC systems.
• Practical experience with TIA Portal, Step 7, and WinCC.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and P&ID documentation.
• Fluency in English and Italian is required.
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach and ability to make decisions.
