Device Maintenance (Logistics)

Location: Milan, Lombardy, Italy. On-site role involving physical equipment maintenance and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair warehouse automation equipment, sorting machines, handheld scanners, and IT infrastructure hardware.
• Diagnose hardware, software, mechanical, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Replace faulty components, perform upgrades, and assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
• Keep accurate maintenance records covering service dates, parts used, and issue resolutions.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations teams to minimize disruption.
• Provide technical support to end users and identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in device maintenance, field service, or technical support.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, schematics, and diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and basic software issues using diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent-work skills.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or e-commerce.
• Basic computer literacy and experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
