Senior Software Engineer II, KYC

Location: New York, NY; Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Clara, CA

Salary: $212,500–$250,000 for New York, San Francisco, and Santa Clara; $201,875–$237,500 for Seattle.

What you will do

• Lead complex technical projects from concept through production while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Help re-architect fragmented KYC products into a unified compliance platform.
• Identify opportunities to simplify application architecture, code, and infrastructure with measurable business impact.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve workflow and code quality.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Partner with product and design to develop effective user solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with or willingness to learn Python, Django, React, Postgres, and Kafka.
• Experience with Java, gRPC, and AWS is relevant to the technology environment.
• Ability to break down complex user stories and execute with minimal guidance.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs and understand the business rationale behind engineering decisions.
• Approximately 8+ years of professional software engineering experience is recommended.
• Employment authorization in the United States is verified through E-Verify.
