Senior Full Stack Developer (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; Vienna, VA 22182

Salary: $140,000–$148,000 per year

What you will do

• Build modern full-stack web applications with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Design and implement secure AWS cloud-native and serverless solutions using services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, Bedrock, EC2, ECS, and EKS.
• Create APIs, microservices, integrations, and event-driven workflows for mission delivery and user experience improvements.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes with CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, refactoring, and specification-driven development.
• Collaborate with customers, product owners, designers, engineers, and mission stakeholders while improving application performance, security, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Python, plus AWS cloud-native or serverless development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, relational database design, APIs, system integrations, GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile delivery, and secure development practices.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments in ECS, EKS, or similar environments; familiarity with AWS CLI and SAM CLI.
• Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust and TSA clearance.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Developer, or Security.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, LangChain, RAG, agent orchestration, tool use, MCP, or related AI frameworks.
• Experience with serverless architectures, event-driven systems, monitoring, observability, production support, security certifications, Oracle, or open-source projects.
