Manager, AI Platform Engineering (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; the role is also stated to be based in Chicago, IL. In-office collaboration is expected for 10+ days per month.

Salary: $212,000–$265,000 USD annual base salary for positions based in California. Equity, bonuses, and commissions are not included.

What you will do

• Own the AI platform roadmap and end-to-end delivery for GSmart, supporting smart features across enterprise treasury products.
• Lead greenfield platform initiatives and turn undefined customer problems into technical solutions with product and solution teams.
• Ensure AI platform capabilities are measurable, dependable, and production-ready.
• Enable engineering teams to build on the platform and take ownership of their deliverables.
• Hire, mentor, and develop the AI platform engineering team.
• Contribute directly to architecture and full-stack production code.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including full-stack development and AI/ML platform infrastructure.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong front-end, back-end, API, and cloud infrastructure skills.
• Experience operating AI systems in production.
• Deep, current knowledge of AI and modern LLM/GenAI infrastructure.
• Ability to collaborate in the office for 10+ days per month.
