Quality and Safety Manager (Transit)

Location: West Palm Beach, FL; in-person position with field work required 4–5 days per week

Salary: $60,000 per year; final compensation depends on experience, knowledge, and skills. Equity and variable pay are excluded.

What you will do

• Conduct on-the-road supervision, ride-alongs, and driver shadowing to verify safety and service compliance.
• Monitor driver interactions and provide coaching on safety procedures, service expectations, and operational best practices.
• Partner with the Field Manager to deliver initial, remedial, and refresher driver training.
• Lead post-accident and post-incident protocols as the Designated Employer Representative for DOT compliance.
• Resolve urgent operational issues in real time to maintain service continuity.
• Review complaints, driver feedback, training documentation, and training needs to implement improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in transit supervision, transportation management, or a similar field is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide drivers.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic situations.
• Strong communication skills for feedback delivery and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and ADA/paratransit compliance is advantageous.
• Ability to work in person in West Palm Beach and spend approximately 85% of the time on the road.
