Field Operations Manager (Public Transportation)

Location: Rochester, MN, United States; fully in-person with onsite work expected 4–5 days per week

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year, excluding equity and variable pay where applicable

What you will do

• Run daily onsite operations to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make real-time decisions involving fleet operations, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and unexpected service issues.
• Guide and support drivers, build trusted relationships, address concerns, and ensure operational readiness.
• Analyze rider and community feedback, identify patterns, and implement operational improvements.
• Use data and technology to evaluate service performance, diagnose problems, and improve efficiency and rider experience.
• Coordinate between city partners, drivers, and central teams to deliver community transportation goals.

Requirements

• Based in Rochester, MN and ready to work onsite 4–5 days per week.
• Experience in operations, people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach to solving problems in the field.
• Ability to make tactical decisions in real time while developing longer-term solutions.
• Motivation to expand access to transportation and improve how communities move.
