Principal Technical Program Manager - FinOps

What you will do

• Define the organization-wide FinOps strategy for cloud, vendor, and AI spending.
• Build the framework for AI cost management in an area without an established industry playbook.
• Analyze cloud usage, vendor contracts, and AI spend to identify inefficiencies and develop technical cost-optimization strategies.
• Build or directly shape dashboards, automations, monitoring, cost attribution, and alerting systems.
• Lead multiple cross-functional optimization programs across SRE, Engineering, Data, FP&A, and Procurement.
• Present feasibility, risk, timelines, and cost trade-offs to senior and executive stakeholders while mentoring other TPMs.

Requirements

• Experience owning both strategy and execution for a cloud, vendor, or AI cost-optimization program.
• Deep knowledge of AI vendor pricing models, contract structures, and optimization levers.
• Technical depth in cloud architecture, cost management, and optimization sufficient to build or evaluate dashboards and automation.
• Experience creating frameworks for complex areas without an established playbook.
• Track record of leading large, cross-organizational programs across multiple business units.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-influence skills, including driving change without formal authority.
