Principal Project Manager (AI)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Remote or hybrid work is available, with onsite work required in the St. Louis area as business needs require, up to once per week or three times per month. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead complex IT programs from discovery and scope definition through execution, transition, and closeout.
• Build and manage integrated plans across multiple concurrent application development projects.
• Provide executive-level reporting on program health, progress, financials, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, resource needs, vendors, contractual deliverables, and program dependencies.
• Apply Waterfall, Agile, or blended delivery approaches and lead interim and post-program reviews.
• Mentor project managers, strengthen PMO governance, support organizational change, and promote practical use of AI tools including Claude.

Requirements

• Consultative problem-solving skills and the ability to align digital solutions with client business goals.
• Experience overseeing project execution, software development lifecycles, program risks, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ability to lead, mentor, motivate, present, coach, and build alignment across stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
• Ability to adapt within a high-growth organization and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship and availability for periodic onsite work in St. Louis are required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve daily work and champion AI adoption.
• Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification.
