Associate Clinical Consultant (Heart Recovery)

Location: Field-based role in California, covering San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Oakland, Danville, and Dublin. Travel within the territory is approximately 50%, with availability for emergent patient-care call.

Salary: $122,000–$137,000 annual base pay, plus eligibility for sales incentive compensation and a company car.

What you will do

• Demonstrate the value and clinical applications of the Impella product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff.
• Advise interventional cardiologists, surgeons, and medical staff on patient selection and appropriate device use.
• Attend implants and provide hands-on clinical guidance during procedures.
• Deliver clinical demonstrations, training, and education for new and existing accounts.
• Collect clinically relevant data, complete outcome reviews, and communicate findings with sales counterparts and team members.
• Collaborate on awareness programs, physician meetings, and staff education activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct RN, NP, PA, or respiratory/registered technologist patient-support experience in an ICU, CVICU, Cath Lab, or cardiovascular operating room.
• At least 2 years of commercial sales experience involving cardiovascular products or technologies.
• Experience advancing the sales process, delivering demonstrations, and conducting successful training.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and advocate with physicians.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% within the assigned California territory and take call for emergent patient care.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with state and federal medical-device regulations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Impella support experience or experience as an Abiomed per diem.
• RN license.
• ECMO experience.
• Clinical training experience and strong interpersonal skills.
