Sr. Product Designer (AI)

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey or Raritan, New Jersey, United States. Hybrid J&J Flex model with a minimum of three days on-site per week and up to two remote days based on business needs. Fully remote work is not available; candidates outside a 75-mile commuting distance must be able to relocate.

Salary: $109,000–$174,800 base pay per year.

What you will do

• Lead product experience work for complex digital products and services from problem framing through prototyping and iterative releases.
• Plan and conduct user research and usability testing, translating findings into actionable design assets.
• Use data to develop problem statements, product strategy inputs, service blueprints, and design recommendations.
• Define and contribute to design standards and reusable patterns for consistent product experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Architecture partners to deliver scalable end-to-end experiences.
• Help define agentic layers and experiences across Johnson & Johnson products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in product design or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in user experience, digital product design, or a related field.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end design work, strong interaction and visual craft, AI tool usage, and measurable impact.
• Proficiency in Figma and agile product development practices.
• Experience with cross-functional product teams, stakeholder communication, journey mapping, service blueprinting, or related service design methods.
• Ability to simplify complex workflows and turn ambiguous business challenges into actionable design solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for healthcare, complex workflows, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled or emerging technology experiences.
